Important Player Information

About the Weather

Expect temperatures to be at the mid-90's or higher. Sunglasses, sunscreen and hats are highly recommended! While there are drinks carts that will be cruising around during play, plan to bring at least a liter or two of water with you. Carrying extra gear will not be a problem for players as we will have full use of the covered golf carts. Also, This event takes place during Monsoon season, so some raingear and/or an umbrella is advisable.

About Appropriate Attire; this applies to all players, reguardless of division:

Becuase this is a true ball golf resort, there are basic dress requirements and standards for etiquette.

For men, collared shirts with short sleeves are required. No cut-offs, no workout attire, and no jeans or colored denim allowed. Khaki shorts are fine, as are most slacks, kahki cargo-style pants, or golfing sports attire.

The restrictions for women are somewhat looser, but no halter tops, tank tops, workout attire or swimming wear are allowed. Slacks, skitrts, and mid-length shorts are fine.

About the Golf Carts

Golf carts will be closely monitored this year. Players will be individually responsible and will have to sign a resort waiver prior to the use of the carts. This year we have the exact number of carts that we need. There will be no extra carts for spotters or spectators, or caddies.

About the Rules

This is a PDGA sanctioned B-Tier event, so all PDGA rules will apply!

All decisions of the tournament director will be final. Those who violate PDGA rules may be punished by disqualification without refund of any fees and possible punishment by the PDGA itself.

Smoking cigarettes is allowed on the course, but please dispose of all refuse properly or pack it out with you.

The two-meter rule will be in effect.

About the Doubles Tournament

Random-Draw Doubles will be held on Friday. This will provide a preview of the alternate "backwards" course that is all-new to this years event! For more information, see the tournament schedule.

About the Side Games

The 14 hole mini golf tournament was a huge success last year, so we are bringing it back! The mini golf will be played around the Desert Springs Outdoor Waterpark located inside the heart of the hotels near the swimming pool bar and grill! For more information, see the tournament schedule.
